This study provides detailed three-dimensional morphometric characterization of the feline tibia using computed tomography imaging. Eight paired tibiae from adult domestic cat cadavers were analyzed to establish reference values for bone dimensions, internal architecture, and joint angles. Key findings include mean tibia length of 111.61mm, with the narrowest internal diameter occurring at different locations depending on the measurement plane (50% length mediolaterally, 75% length craniocaudally). Cortical thickness was greatest at the middiaphysis. Cancellous bone volume was substantially greater in the proximal tibia (12.45mm³) compared to the distal tibia (2.09mm³). Six distinct mechanical joint angles were measured, including tibial plateau angle of 31.42°. These morphometric data provide essential anatomical reference standards for feline orthopedic surgery, particularly relevant for fracture fixation planning and technique development. The three-dimensional CT approach enabled detailed evaluation of both external and internal bone morphology that would be impossible with conventional radiography, offering clinically applicable information for surgical decision-making.
