One cat required intraoperative transfusion for massive bleeding but no cats required revision surgery. All cats survived to discharge and remained asymptomatic at suture removal (~2 weeks postoperatively). This appears to be the first detailed report evaluating this technique in cats, demonstrating feasibility comparable to canine studies with short surgical times and no perioperative mortality.
