Mean synovial concentrations were higher with dual pneumatic versus dual wide rubber tourniquets. The findings suggest that simplifying the tourniquet approach from dual to single tourniquet placement does not compromise therapeutic drug delivery to target joints while reducing procedural complexity in standing, sedated horses.
