Notably, TpTe:QT exhibited negligible correlation with heart rate itself. Conversely, traditional QT and corrected QT intervals showed no significant associations with echocardiographic variables. These findings suggest TpTe interval and TpTe:QT ratio represent heart rate-independent ECG markers that may reflect myocardial structural remodeling in canine DCM, potentially offering additional diagnostic utility beyond conventional repolarization parameters.
