All cases had received topical treatments, most commonly sodium hyaluronate and neomycin-polymyxin B, with six cats receiving methadone. Bacterial and fungal cultures were negative. Histopathological examination confirmed calcium salt deposition in two cases. Superficial keratectomy was successful in two cats with no recurrence during follow-up. This series establishes an association between corneal calcium deposits, prior ulceration, systemic metabolic disorders, and topical medication use in cats, suggesting multifactorial etiology requiring investigation of underlying calcium metabolism abnormalities.
