At six-month follow-up, fibrin formation was significantly associated with vision loss exclusively in pseudophakic eyes, while no such association existed in aphakic eyes. Although intraocular lens presence was not directly correlated with vision loss, secondary fibrin formation in pseudophakic patients represented a significant complication affecting visual outcomes. These findings suggest that postoperative fibrin management may be particularly important in dogs receiving intraocular lens implants during cataract surgery.
