Both cases underwent medial canthoplasty with temporary tarsorrhaphy. The procedure involved identifying and cannulating nasolacrimal puncta, everting and excising the medial canthal eyelid margin just medial to the puncta, and closing the resection site in two layers. In the second horse, prolapsed retrobulbar fat was excised prior to the shortening blepharoplasty. Histopathology confirmed retrobulbar fat prolapse. Both horses demonstrated significant clinical improvement post-operatively. This technique appears effective for restoring normal palpebral anatomy and resolving clinical signs associated with euryblepharon and related conditions in equine patients.
